Tree Planting for the Queens Green Canpoy

Date: 22nd Nov 2021 Author: Matt Alner

What a day!

The last week we have been on edge waiting for our trees to arrive ready for the tree planting for the Queen Green Canopy, But at the last hour, 105 trees turned up out of the 315 that we had ordered, and we were given some by district,  for the community tree planting that we had arranged to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

Incredibly we managed to plant 100 trees per hour,  which was amazing we expected the tree plant to take all weekend but had to stop planting by midday on Saturday. So many With Help from the young people of our scout group, 1st Frampton Cotterell Scout Group, FACE(Foundation for Active Community Engagement), and people from the local community

We just want to say a massive thank you to all that turned up, and to Frampton Cotterell Parish Council for allowing us to plant the trees.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
